No training today so Nick and I did a little river fishing. We dropped into the Grand River at the Outdoor YMCA and walked about a mile up river and back and did pretty well with Nick catching the nicest fish of the day. All in all we caught about 20 fish from Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Catfish, White Bass and Rock Bass, it was a great time with Nick and we're definately going to do this more often. We were out for about 4 hrs and it seemed like only an hour.

Cool! Brings back a lot of memories of some good fishing back in the day. Nice to see that progress hasn't wiped out the fish population.
The hours spent down there with the kids are among my fondest memories - enjoy while you can.
