This past weekend was Champ Racing's North Shore Border War Triathlon at Geneva State Park. The idea of this race is basically a race between Pennsylvania and Ohio with the main clubs that were represented were the Erie Triathlon Club and Bike Authority Fleet Feet Multisport Team. To make a long story short, Pennsylvania showed up in numbers and kicked our butts this year taking the overall trophy. The Erie Tri club has some very fast folks taking seven of the top 10 spots. We were missing a few of our top racers this year which cost us some overall placings and possibly the trophy, but hats off to Erie, they are great guys and very fast.
Tony was 4th overall, Steve Humbert 5th overall and me 7th overall. Not bad but not good enough..
Once again Dan Pierce from Erie won overall and crushed the field, congrats Dan on a great race.
Next up for me is HFP Maumee Bay this weekend. I've never raced this race and heard lots of good things about it so I'm excited to be going.
